Fluidra San Diego Training Room & Multi-Room AV Deployment

Fluidra expanded its relationship with 210 Solutions into San Diego with a building-wide Yealink collaboration deployment. The project centered on a large hybrid training room and also covered 14 additional conference and huddle spaces, an executive boardroom, and more than 70 Cat6 network drops.

This project grew from a successful collaboration environment completed by 210 Solutions for Fluidra’s Atlanta location. Executive support for that original work led to additional deployments in several states, including Fluidra’s Salt Lake City training room and this larger San Diego rollout.

San Diego was not a single-room project. The featured training room sits within a broader deployment that included 14 additional conference rooms and huddle spaces, an executive boardroom, and more than 70 new Cat6 network drops for connectivity throughout the building.

The challenge

The primary training room needed to work equally well for people seated in the room and participants joining remotely. Presenters required clear voice reinforcement, flexible microphone choices, large bright images, and camera coverage that could follow instruction without turning every session into a technical production.

At the same time, Fluidra needed a consistent operating experience across a range of spaces—from huddle rooms and standard conference rooms to a high-end boardroom. The boardroom also contained existing Shure Microflex microphones that still fit the client’s needs and needed to be integrated rather than discarded.

The constraints

The training room’s size and ambient light made conventional flat-panel displays or lower-output projection a poor fit. Sightlines, brightness, presenter coverage, microphone management, and simple room control all had to work together.

The rollout also required more than 70 Cat6 network drops across an active corporate facility. Each meeting space needed to feel consistent to the user while still accommodating the room’s particular size, purpose, and existing technology.

The approach

Design the system around the people who use it.

210 Solutions standardized the collaboration experience around Yealink Microsoft Teams Rooms technology, then adapted the design to each room. Smaller conference rooms and huddle spaces received straightforward interfaces, while the training room and boardroom were engineered for more demanding audio, video, and control requirements.

The main boardroom uses a Yealink MVC S98 architecture designed for large ProAV rooms. Rather than replacing serviceable audio components, 210 Solutions integrated Fluidra’s existing Shure Microflex microphones into the new collaboration workflow.

In the training room, dedicated touchscreen controls, presenter microphones, two camera views, high-output laser projection, and ambient-light-rejection screens were brought together as one understandable system.

The completed San Diego deployment included:

  • Integration of existing Shure Microflex microphones in the boardroom
  • More than 70 Cat6 network drops supporting connectivity throughout the building
  • A dedicated Microsoft Teams Room system with simple touchscreen operation in the training room
  • Dual touch interfaces for projection, system power, and room control
  • Eight wireless desktop or podium microphones and four wireless lapel microphones
  • Two PTZ cameras: a front-of-room view and a 20x 4K auto-tracking presenter camera
  • Two large Screen Innovations ambient-light-rejection projection screens
  • Two 10,000-lumen laser projectors for bright, high-impact images
  • System programming, commissioning, testing, end-user training, and support

Execution

210 Solutions coordinated the building-wide cabling and room deployments while giving the training room the additional engineering attention required for a large hybrid learning environment.

The projection system was aligned and calibrated so both 10,000-lumen laser projectors produced crisp, readable images on the ambient-light-rejection screens even with normal room lighting. The two PTZ camera positions were configured to cover the room and track the presenter, while the wireless microphone system gave instructors a choice between eight desktop or podium microphones and four lapel microphones.

The control experience was simplified into dedicated touch interfaces for meetings, projector operation, and system power. Boardroom commissioning included connecting the Yealink MVC S98 workflow with the existing Shure Microflex microphone system and confirming reliable far-end audio.

The outcome

Technology that supports the operation.

Fluidra gained a consistent collaboration standard across the San Diego facility without forcing every room into the same physical design. Employees can move between huddle rooms, conference rooms, the boardroom, and the training room without relearning the basic meeting workflow.

The featured training room can support instructor-led sessions, large presentations, and hybrid meetings with bright dual-screen projection, flexible wireless microphones, and separate camera views for the room and presenter.

Reusing the boardroom’s existing Shure Microflex microphones protected a useful prior investment while the Yealink MVC S98 moved the room onto Fluidra’s newer Microsoft Teams Rooms standard. The result is a broader multi-location technology relationship built on repeatable operation and room-specific engineering.
