Fluidra Salt Lake City Training Room AV Integration

After a successful Atlanta collaboration environment earned executive support, Fluidra expanded its relationship with 210 Solutions to additional locations. This Salt Lake City project pairs a Yealink MVC860 Microsoft Teams Room with dual 86-inch displays, distributed audio, presenter microphones, and custom level control for a very large training space.

Fluidra is a global pool and wellness company with operations throughout North America. 210 Solutions first completed a collaboration environment for Fluidra’s Atlanta location. The response from employees and executives led to additional work in Salt Lake City, San Diego, Tennessee, and Florida, with further expansion under consideration.

At the Salt Lake City location, 210 Solutions also delivered four conventional Microsoft Teams Rooms. This case study focuses on the larger and more specialized training room.

The challenge

The training room is substantially larger than a typical conference room. Presenters needed to communicate clearly to people throughout the room while also reaching remote participants with the camera view, shared content, and the presenter’s microphone.

The room was designed for instructor-led training rather than open audience participation. That distinction shaped the audio system: the presenter’s handheld or body-pack microphone needed to feed both the in-room sound system and the far end of a call, while audience microphones were intentionally not included.

The client also needed practical control over three different listening elements: program or video audio, the overall room sound, and the presenter’s microphone level.

The constraints

The room’s size required displays and loudspeakers to be distributed for consistent sightlines and coverage. Two commercial 86-inch displays were positioned around the one-third points of the room so attendees were not dependent on a single screen at the front.

Approximately 24 in-ceiling speakers had to provide even coverage without making routine operation complicated. The conferencing system also needed to support Fluidra’s normal Microsoft Teams workflow while accommodating meetings hosted on Zoom, Webex, or Google Meet.

The approach

210 Solutions centered the training room on a Yealink MVC860 Microsoft Teams Rooms system. The platform provides a dedicated room computer, touchscreen meeting control, a PTZ camera, and wireless content sharing through the Yealink WPP30 presentation pod.

The AV design extended beyond the standard room kit. Two large-format displays and a distributed ceiling-speaker system were integrated with wireless presenter microphones and custom audio routing. The control experience separates video or program volume from microphone level, allowing a presenter to balance training content and spoken instruction without navigating a technical audio interface.

Scope

The completed Salt Lake City training-room system included:

  • A Yealink MVC860 Microsoft Teams Rooms system
  • A Yealink PTZ camera for presenter and room coverage
  • A dedicated touchscreen meeting controller
  • A Yealink WPP30 wireless presentation pod
  • Two commercial 86-inch displays positioned for visibility across the large room
  • Approximately 24 distributed in-ceiling speakers
  • Wireless handheld and body-pack microphone options for the presenter
  • Routing of the presenter microphone, room camera, and shared content to remote participants
  • Separate control of program audio and presenter microphone levels
  • Support for Microsoft Teams and cross-platform meetings hosted through Zoom, Webex, or Google Meet workflows
  • System programming, audio tuning, camera configuration, testing, training, and support

Execution

210 Solutions installed the displays at strategic positions through the room, deployed the distributed loudspeaker system, and configured the Yealink MVC860 components as the dedicated conferencing interface.

The audio system was tuned for presenter-led training. A wireless handheld or body-pack microphone reinforces the presenter throughout the room and is simultaneously delivered to remote participants. Program content follows its own level path, giving the operator practical control over the balance between videos, presentations, and spoken instruction.

Commissioning included camera framing, wireless presentation testing, far-end audio verification, display and loudspeaker checks, microphone gain structure, meeting-platform workflows, and user training.

The outcome

Technology that supports the operation.

Fluidra gained a training room that can support large in-person sessions and hybrid instruction through one consistent operating model. Presenters can share content wirelessly, appear on camera, and use the handheld or body-pack microphone without building a temporary setup for every session.

The two 86-inch displays improve visibility through the long room, while the distributed ceiling speakers deliver consistent program and voice coverage. Separate level controls make it easier to balance a training video with live instruction.

The Salt Lake City project also demonstrates the value of a repeatable technology relationship. A successful installation in Atlanta became internal proof for Fluidra’s executives and created a path for 210 Solutions to support additional locations across the country.
