MUST Ministries Divisible Training Room AV System

210 Solutions built Conference Rooms A and B to work as two complete AV spaces when divided—or as one synchronized training room when the movable wall opens. Presenters get simple touch control, predictable audio and video routing, and a consistent hybrid-meeting workflow in either configuration.

The environment

MUST Ministries serves neighbors in need across Metro Atlanta from its Marietta headquarters, where community conference space supports meetings, presentations, and training. Conference Rooms A and B needed to serve two very different operating modes without asking users to understand the signal path behind them.

The challenge

The movable air wall changes the physical room, but the technology still has to feel like one coherent system. With the wall closed, each side needs its own presentation source, display routing, microphone audio, loudspeaker playback, and control point. With the wall open, those same systems need to work together as one larger training space.

The goal was not to give users more buttons. It was to make the room mode obvious and keep the underlying routing decisions out of the presenter’s way.

The constraints

  • Two rooms had to operate independently without sharing the wrong source or audio.
  • The combined configuration needed synchronized audio and video across both sides.
  • Each room required its own wireless presentation workflow and 10-inch touch control.
  • Ceiling microphones were reserved for video conferencing, while handheld, beltpack, and podium microphones served in-room presentation audio.
  • The design needed stable 4K distribution without the handshake problems that often appear in multi-display rooms.

The approach

Design the system around the people who use it.

210 Solutions treated the divider position as an operating-state change, not a reason to rewire the space. RTI control gives each room a clear interface, while a 4×4 HDBaseT video matrix routes presentation sources to the appropriate displays. In divided mode, each side stays independent. In combined mode, the system coordinates the rooms so content and sound can cover the full space.

A Symetrix DSP manages the room’s audio logic and Dante network audio. Two Yamaha RM-CG ceiling arrays provide far-end pickup for conferencing, while dedicated Audio-Technica wireless microphones and a Countryman podium microphone handle presenters in the room. An Alfatron PTZ camera and USB/Dante interface complete the hybrid-meeting path.

Execution

210 Solutions installed the control, audio, video, network, and rack systems as one coordinated build. The touch interfaces expose the controls presenters actually need, while matrix and DSP programming handle the room-state logic underneath. The completed workflow supports local presentation and hybrid sessions on platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom through the room’s conferencing connection.

The outcome

Technology that supports the operation.

MUST Ministries now has one training environment that can change with the event. Small groups can use both rooms at the same time without interfering with each other. Open the air wall, select the combined mode, and the displays, microphones, speakers, and presentation sources work across the larger space.

The practical result is flexibility without a technical reset: no cable swapping, no improvised routing, and no separate control language to learn when the room configuration changes.
