The challenge
A locked school entrance is only useful if the people inside can manage it without slowing down daily operations. Downtown Academy needed more than a doorbell or an audio-only call. Staff needed to know who was requesting access, communicate with the visitor, and release the door without walking away from their desk.
Temporary visitors created another operational problem. Contractors and scheduled guests sometimes need access for a defined window, but they should not receive a permanent credential, shared code, or physical key.
