210 Solutions Project

Divisible Event Center AV System: Three Rooms, One Flexible Platform

210 Solutions designed a three-room event center AV system that can operate as independent spaces, paired rooms, or one coordinated venue—with iPad control, motorized projection, Dante audio routing, and assisted listening.

The environment

Start with the environment and the operating reality.

210 Solutions designed and installed an AV system for an event and training environment with three divisible rooms. Each room can host its own session, two rooms can work together while the third remains independent, or all three can become one larger event space.

Watch the project walkthrough

The venue needed video, audio, projection, lighting presets, presentation sources, room combining and assisted listening to behave as one coordinated system.

The challenge

Opening or closing a partition changes the audience area, but the technology must change with it. Microphones that belong to one room may need to reach a combined audience, presentation sources must follow the correct screens, and an adjacent room may still need to operate independently.

The project needed to give staff a clear, repeatable way to choose the physical room configuration without asking them to understand the routing behind it.

The constraints

  • Three rooms had to work independently, in paired configurations or as one combined venue.
  • Audio, video destinations and staff controls had to agree with the selected partition layout.
  • Everyday operation needed to remain simple while supporting an external live-mixer workflow for larger events.
  • Motorized screens and projector lifts had to sequence correctly with the selected room mode.
  • Assisted listening depended on suitable Wi-Fi coverage, access to the audio server and clear guest instructions.

The approach

Design the system around the people who use it.

210 Solutions treated each room arrangement as a defined operating mode. An iPad control interface lets staff select the room configuration, presentation source, sound, projection and lighting presets. Behind that interface, programmed logic coordinates the video matrix, audio processing and room destinations.

Dante networked audio provides flexible microphone and program-audio routing. Wired HDMI and Barco ClickShare support presentation sources, while a defined Dante send-and-return path lets an external compatible mixer support more demanding events.

What 210 delivered

From plan to a working, supportable system.

Scope

  • Three independent and combined room configurations
  • iPad-based AV control and room-mode presets
  • Video matrixing for wired HDMI and wireless ClickShare presentation
  • Dante networked audio and installed audio processing
  • External live-mixer send-and-return workflow
  • Motorized projection screens and projector lifts
  • Lighting preset integration
  • Listen Technologies assisted-listening system over facility Wi-Fi

Execution

210 Solutions installed and programmed the control, audio, video, projection and networked-routing systems as one coordinated build. The selected room mode determines which controls and destinations operate together, so staff can prepare the venue without cable swapping or separate remotes.

Everyday presentations stay straightforward, while larger events can use a compatible external mixer and the installed Dante routing. Projection equipment deploys and retracts as part of the control workflow.

The outcome

Technology that supports the operation.

The completed venue can support three simultaneous sessions, a paired-room event with one independent room, or one combined audience across all three spaces. Presentation content, microphones, program audio and projection follow the chosen configuration.

The practical result is flexible infrastructure with a consistent staff experience: the rooms feel independent when divided and coordinated when combined.

Key takeaway

Three divisible rooms now operate independently or as one coordinated AV environment, with the control, routing, projection and audio systems following the venue’s selected configuration.
